As a first-generation lawyer, she navigated her way through challenges with determination and skill, ultimately securing a prestigious pre-placement offer from Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan Attorneys, one of India’s leading law firms. During her tenure there, she advised multinational corporations and corporate conglomerates on matters related to general corporate laws and compliances, earning a reputation for her sharp legal insight and strategic thinking.
Seeking to broaden her horizons, Apoorba transitioned to a boutique law firm specializing in venture capital transactions and general corporate advisory. Here, she worked closely with early-stage fintechs, IT startups, and data-centric companies, providing them with in-depth legal counsel and practically serving as an in-house counsel. This experience enriched her understanding of the contractual needs of various industries, further igniting her passion for contract law.
The idea of Kontract Genie was born from Apoorba’s realization that legal contract services represent a distinct and crucial area of legal practice. Her approach to contracts is holistic, extending beyond corporate nuances to encompass intellectual property law, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, technology law, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Rishabh Mishra is a third-generation lawyer whose upbringing was steeped in legal traditions, yet his career path reflects a modern approach to law, focusing on corporate and business law rather than the criminal and civil litigation that defined his family’s legacy. With a strong foundation in legal principles and an inherent understanding of the legal profession, Rishabh has carved out a niche for himself in the corporate legal landscape.
Rishabh’s journey into law was shaped by a diverse range of experiences, having worked with law firms, corporates, advocates, and legal process outsourcing (LPO) firms. These roles allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of various domains of law, including real estate, corporate laws, commercial disputes, employment laws, and data privacy. His time at Sudheer & Associates, a boutique law firm specializing in RERA and property matters, further honed his skills, particularly in advisory and litigation matters.
Throughout his career, Rishabh has built a diverse clientele, ranging from MSMEs and startups to real estate giants and angel investors. His exposure to contracts across different organizations led to a profound realization: contracts are the connective tissue that links various legal domains.
